Drift Shell - New map and gameplay updates
Worked on designing a small arena for duels. The layout has been greyboxed, I just need to make art assets to get the look I'm going for. I wanted to make sure there were little to no hiding places. I also have two floors to the arena to encourage wall jumping tech.
I'm thinking about ways to discourage flying up high out of the arena or climbing the walls. so far flying is the quickest way to get up high so if a player was climbing than the they would get caught by the other player quickly. if you stay up high for too long you will eventually run out of fuel and will need to touch the ground before you can jump again.
I'll need to get some real playtesting matches going to see what's what with the games meta.
I also worked on my mecha drawing skills (like the my sketch in the post thumbnail). Expect more sick looking mechas to pilot later in development!
