Hex Before Christmas
A downloadable game for Windows
This is a Shmup game made for Shenanijam! I used the theme : "Cursedmas Eve".
btw the game has UNLOCKABLE CHARACTERS try to get them all!
controls:
F4 for fullscreen
Escape_key to pause during gameplay
Tab: you can toggle whether or not the player character follows the mouse
wasd / arrow keys: to move around and traverse menus
left mouse, X_key, Space_key: shoot bullets
right mouse, C_key: use bomb
You can click on menu items with the mouse or use X_key or Enter_key
STORY:
-A new story is told through in game cutscenes beat the game to get the full story!

but fr this game feels like a big step in progress from gunnier zed, in terms of art gameplay and sound! im surprised more people weren't talking about it in jde
shields feel more balanced which is nice
but I'll have to admit I hid in the upper right corner to get thru some of the homing enemies at the second to last level, and i would have def enjoyed using a mouse
Thanks for the feedback! I've found that the toughest part of game development is getting people to play the game lol.
Somehow I'd like to improve at marketing the game.
btw, I'm working on another shmup, a more polished Gunnier Zed.
My goal for it is to sell it commercially!
